I'm very happy, this morning. I went in to see my med-nurse yesterday and, apparently, I've lost a little more weight this month. I'm down about four pounds from 308.4 to 304.3! I wish I could find the words to express my pleasure at this marvelous news. I just want to tell the world. I'm getting closer and closer to that 300 pound mark. Of course, to get to my ideal body weight, I have to lose about half of my current body weight, but I still feel really good. Why shouldn't I celebrate a four pound loss?
I feel so good, I think I'll devote the remainder of the day to getting my housework done, and there's a lot to get done. Jak will certainly be pleased. Don't worry, though. I'll be keeping track of all of you through my Feed Demon feed reader.

You should celebrate! Huzzah!
Are you making little goals to meet? I think it would be cool; whenever you get to one you could treat yourself to some splendid Me time or something. And you’d never really feel pressured to get to some big alarming goal that way.

(chuckles)I did celebrate. I did the dishes and I cleared off the table. Later, I plan to make cornmeal muffins. I have a recipe that’s absolutely divine, especially if you add a can of creamed corn to the mix. It’s the only reason I would ever buy creamed corn. Otherwise, I think it looks like vomit. Anyway, I didn’t want to celebrate too much with food and cornbread is reasonably healthy, I think.

Actually, I’m celebrating by watching the original Mission: Impossible. How’s that for apropos?

Eh. You gotta figure any progress is good progress, right? You may well get to say, “I will never be at that particular place again.” It’s very cool. It may not seem like a big thing to you, but I was at my heaviest ever this past year, and that’s what I want to be able to say. Even if the progress is tiny 2 steps forward-1 step back increments.
I’d like to know how to make corn muffins that way. I agree about the creamed corn, even when I make corn cakes now and then, I just buy the ordinary non-creamed kind.

Thank you. It’s a big deal to me.

Thank you, and you’re very welcome. Come back any time.

Made ’em. It’s really easy, just use half of the milk called for and add a can of corn (blend it first). On the other hand, if you want to add whole kernel corn, drain it first and just add it to the standard recipe. Easy as adding raisins.

Cimmorene – congrats on the little shift. It may not sound like a heck of a lot, but it’s the small steps that count.

You’re right. Thus far, since starting Wellbutrin, which more or less kills my appetite up to a certain point, I’ve lost a total of twelve pounds. I can’t tell you how excited I am. They say big things are made up of little things. You can buy things that cost a dollar if you have a hundred pennies.
